Contact an attorney! Our office does not employee an attorney and cannot provide legal advice! Proper procedures can be researched online at Texas Law Help. Most counties have a digital law library that is free and open to the public. The Bosque County Law Library is located at the Bosque County Courthouse in Meridian and is available to the public during regular business hours.
If you are needing to remove a tenant from a property, there is a very important procedure that has to be followed to ensure the eviction is done properly. All evictions must be filed in the proper precinct with the Justice of the Peace court before any citation for eviction can be executed. Once the proper paperwork and fees have been processed, the JP court will issue a citation and hand that over to our office to be served. If you are needing forms, you can access them at Self-Represented Litigants: Texas Justice Court Training Center or by clicking the Justice of the Peace link at the bottom of this page. If you need further assistance or guidance, please contact an attorney!
This question is one we see frequently and can get confusing. First, no matter what you are having the other party served for, all of the proper paperwork must be filed in the proper court and the proper fees paid. Generally, once a civil case has been filed, the court will send us the proper documents that are to be served on your behalf. If you are uncertain as to what forms to file, please contact the proper court and they can assist you. If you are still unsure of what to do or how to properly do it, contact an attorney.
