constable scott ferguson

Constable Scott Ferguson started with the Bosque County Sheriff's Department in 1992. In 1994, Constable Ferguson acquired Bear, his four-legged partner. Together they spent time working with the local school districts on the Together Against Drugs campaign. In 1998 Scott was appointed Constable of Precinct 1 and was elected by the residents of Bosque County to the position in 2000. During his time as a law enforcement officer Constable Ferguson has spent numerous hours in continuing and on-going education and training. Even after spending over 20 years as Constable, his assistance in pushing drug awareness has not waivered. Jackets Against Drugs is held every year for the Meridian 5th grade students to help keep our young citizens on a life path away from drugs and alcohol. Constable Ferguson has multiple TCOLE education hours on his resume as well as multiple certifications and a Master Peace Officers license and he is committed to serving Bosque County.

Constable Jay Sparkman is the newest face to our office; however, he is not new to law enforcement. Constable Sparkman began his career after completing DPS Academy in 1990 with the Texas Highway Patrol. As a DPS Trooper he spent time in the motor vehicle division. Constable Sparkman has multiple hours of TCOLE education and training, and he also has 17 years of experience as a DPS Firearms Instructor. He proudly earned his Master Peace Officer's License just 13 years into his career in 2003. While he retired from the Highway Patrol in 2017, he never left the agency. In August of 2017 Constable Sparkman was promoted to the position of Special Ranger. After serving for 3 years as an officer on one of Texas' most elite agencies it seemed fitting for him to serve his community with another elite agency. In 2020 Constable Sparkman was elected to office and continues to serve his community with pride and honor.
